Spirographer is designed to duplicate the functions of Hasbro's Spirograph, a geometric drawing tool that composes hypotrochoids and epitrochoids (not just 'circles').
Just like the original, this utilizes variable inner and outer gears to make intricate and complicated designs in a variety of colors.
With a full-featured program, one could transfer images to a photo-manipulation program, Photo Impact or Photoshop for example, and create custom graphics, web page elements, photo frames, borders, stationery or even customized scrapbook pages.
Don't expect to find all of those features in the demo; files cannot be exported for obvious reasons.
The program appears to be in primitive stages but shows real promise. The possibilities are limited only by ones imagination.
Noisy (?!) but that can be turned off in registered program.
Would like to see brighter colors and more fully-developed elements, like a 3D pen and gears.
A pretty unique program, there doesn't seem to be any other program like it on the net. You can change the gear size and overall size of the objects that you create, and control the pen color. Easy to use and quick to download.
There are no 'cons' that I can think of really, but it would be nice if it had an option to control pen size, and an option to use gradient line color.

One thing I've noticed is that you cant save it. I tried saving the file after submitting this review and the file is nowhere to be found....about the only you might be able to do with it is print the image?
It is a fun toy to play with, and I'm all up for something new.
For one thing, it isn't free. I think the programmer should not lie about the price. There's no installer. It is slow in making the spirograph and when you export the image to bitmap, it saves a image that:
1. is not your image you made. 2. has an ugly watermark.
As fun as it is (at most 5 minutes of fun, then you get bored.), it's not at all free.
It's easy to use and it's a unique idea to draw flowers or other curved items. The loading time is small and you can save your created images into bmp or jpg.
About said it's shareware and there's a DEMO text on the created picture, i don't really get it... There's no help and installer. Even it's a unique idea, i don't think it should be shareware: the Author should use another "support the project" method by my opinion.
Is something new
It works in circles.
Though the description reads "free" and "no limitations" it is actually only a 30 day shareware demo, with the real version a mere $20 less than free. From the license agreement:
"N.B: During the evaluation period, some of functions (save, print, etc.) are restricted."
It would only be worth the money if it were free or had many more options.
Not only is it not freeware, it won't even export your trial images.
This is a free trial only. You have to pay if you wish to use program for more than 30 days.
