Version: Spiceworks IT Desktop 2.0.17416
"AWESOME free tool to see what's happening on various desktops/servers/etc!"
Pros: Well the price for starters, it's FREE and does not require me to install anything on the rest of the computers on my network. You can setup the whole thing from one PC, all you need is an admin account. It sets up a small webserver on your PC so you can access Spiceworks from any machine on your LAN with a web browser. It's secure, requires a login and password to access. This is going to be a BIG help since I need to get all my DNS settings the same across the whole LAN. It gives you a pretty good inventory of DNS, installed software, free disk space, and other mission critical stuff that every systems admin needs to keep an eye on. A must have for any small business network/systems administrator!
Cons: Nothing yet, will update my review if I find anything I don't like.

Spiceworks is unable to determine the virus definition status of windows machine running older Symantec anti-virus corporate editoin (7.x through 8.0.x)
