Version: SpeedConnect XP Internet Accelerator 7.5
"Scam"
Pros: It does change all the internet settings, boosting your speed.
Cons: Activation is well guarded. They will only allow you to activate the product 4 times. Even if you reinstall your OS. Email support will not help you either. If they release a different version, they will force you to buy an upgrade for 16.99 USD (this is also within the same version. Ex 7.0 to 7.5) basically, I purchased this in January 2008 (7.0) and they release a different version a few months ago(7.5), I can not activate 7.5 without buying an upgrade for 16.99. Very sad. Email support will get smart with you if you ask why. So they figure they will release a different version every few months and get people to pay again. This is very sad.

Pros *** It does change all the internet settings, boosting your speed. *** The cons are not actually reflecting the product itself, but are refering to the activation procedure. As written in license agreement, each computer using the full version requires a license. The license is not transferable, it cannot be used to enable full version on other computers (obviously). Each new registration comes with +1 free additional license, which means each new user gets 2 licenses, which can be used to enable full version on 2 computers, even if the user purchases only 1 initial license. All updates for the same version are free. The upgrades to higher versions are optional, and are not free. All conditions are written in license agreement. The product is a well known network optimizer, professionally reviewed by several 3rd party magazines and websites. The software requires a license for each computer running the full version.
