  "Scam"

  Pros: It does change all the internet settings, boosting your speed.

  Cons: Activation is well guarded. They will only allow you to activate the product 4 times. Even if you reinstall your OS. Email support will not help you either. If they release a different version, they will force you to buy an upgrade for 16.99 USD (this is also within the same version. Ex 7.0 to 7.5) basically, I purchased this in January 2008 (7.0) and they release a different version a few months ago(7.5), I can not activate 7.5 without buying an upgrade for 16.99. Very sad. Email support will get smart with you if you ask why. So they figure they will release a different version every few months and get people to pay again. This is very sad.

  "User friendly, easy to use, quick optimization"

  Pros: Here are some key features of "SpeedConnect Internet Accelerator": - Optimizes all internet connection types (Dial-Up, Modem, LAN, Cable, Satellite, T1...) - User friendly - Fast optimization in Quick Optimizer mode; - Advanced customization of network settings for expert users; - Tool and Wizards available to find best network settings for your connection; - Load/Save Settings option is a plus. I can always revert to a previous optimization that works better; - Optimization Report is available after each change in network settings; - Connection Analyzer, which runs automatically every time you restart SpeedConnect to make another optimization.

  Cons: In the optmization process you need to restart Windows after applying a new optimization mode, otherwise Windows will ignore the new settings and the speed test result are the same.

  Version: SpeedConnect XP Internet Accelerator 6.5

  "User friendly, easy to use, quick optimization"

  Pros: I am stuck having to use an analog modem (no DSL in my area). I tried EVERY dial-up-modem accelerator and this is the one that works the best of all (for my system). This program is very easy to use (even for a regular user like me!). The Quick Optimizer mode gets your connection optimized after choosing only 3 options: your connection type, the network adapter you want to optimize and the optimization mode you want to apply. I've restarted windows and re-run a test from SpeedConnect's main screen writing down the speed test result. After trying 4 optimization modes, I choosed the 2nd one which worked best for my connection (the speed result was the highest one!) . That's my personal experience with this software... A good one!

  Cons: In the optmization process you need to restart Windows after applying a new optimization mode, otherwise Windows will ignore the new settings and the speed test result are the same. In free demo version the optimization is partial, there are some settings saved only in full registered version.
