"Earlier version worked wonderfully, no so with 1.16.317"

Can't really tell as it's never completed the "Analyzing" to "Cannot initialize SPC dll stage.
Cons
I have installed, uninstalled (although if you go back to the folder, it's still there), installed, uninstalled (using both the control panel and speccy's uninstall file) downloaded again, reinstalled . . . . I tried to go back to the old version, but that was a no-go.
Summary
I would appreciate any help in solving the problems, because I loved the older version--easy to use, easy to understand, no hang-ups. Help!

Some of the info gets kinda lost in the shuffle- lots of statistics, but sometimes we only need the major stuff broght to the fore.

Lots of info, most (not all) seems accurate.
Cons
It reports my SSD at 256 F. I've tried roasting marshmallows on this thing, but alas, the only thing around here that gets that hot is me after trying out an Iobit product.
Summary
Just like a gossipy co-worker who thinks they know everything, take everything this program tells you with a grain of salt. But just like that coworker, there is still lots of good info if you learn what is accurate by cross referencing with some other sources.

"Good tool to get system component list before a rebuild"

When doing a complete system rebuild, even with a factory disc, the challenge is to know all the components in your system. You need to load the correct drives for the components in your system. You also need to be able to go to the manufacturer's site to get the lastest versions of drives. Not knowing the exact system component can cause the wrong drive to be loaded and make the system not operate properly.
Cons
Has limited value on a daily basis.
Summary
Very useful tool prior to doing a full system rebuild. Provides critical system component information.
