"Great Product, Works Well, very stable"
Version: Spam Filter ISP 2.6.3.473
Pros
In July 2004, our company began to be bombarded by spam for reason yet to be determined. Our Watchguard fire boxx III was unable to keep up and maintain any degree of usefulness. I was faced with a dilema, block the spam at the firewall, or let all spma through and have my exchange server handle it. Well, I choose option 2) and with in hours my exchange server was bogged down. Also, the folder that keeps all undeliverable messages had in excess of 300,000 items. Yikes. I was stuck so I spent the night looking for a solution. I came across GFI which worked, but I found it required alot of over head. I then installed Spamfilter on an old PII, redirected all SMPT traffic to it from my fire wall, and setup a few basic rules for filtering. After about 2 hours, my exchange server sprng to life, no longer burdened by the spam it was filtering. I now Use Symantec Antivirus on the spamfilter box, which is cool because every email is scanned for viruses before it reaches my exchange server.
Cons
the large number of spam email I receive clogs up the Quarentine database. I have elected to just delete without quarentine

"Invaluable"
Version: Spam Filter ISP 2.6.3.473
Pros
Extremely easy to install, maintain and migrate. It is very customizable, blocking spam and viruses is extremely effective.
One huge plus is the fact that the developers are very willing to implement user ideas, and donot let you wait for ages on bugfixes.
One major reason for this company to purchase it was the excellent support given.
Cons
Because of all the rapid improvements and enhancements, the manual is not quite up-to-date. But it's ease of use more than compensates for that.
Another con: Why is my home ISP not using this?? :)

"Not perfect but good enough for us"
Version: Spam Filter ISP 2.6.3.473
Pros
Cheap!
Low hardware demands and no strange OS. Runs good on a PII 512Mb ram & W2k.
I can choose what kind of filter I wan't to use and were to use them.
It works good "out of the box", tuning made it work better...
Cons
May crash when I clean the qurantine, but no other crashes. I can't choose in order the filters should be used.

"Fantastic Product"
Version: Spam Filter ISP 2.6.3.473
Pros
I sincerely love the ease of installation and use. Another great feature is the constant development of the product. The company really responds to requests very quickly.
Cons
I would like to have a more "web" interface to manage the product. I dont like the fact that I have to connect to the server to manage it.

"excellent software"
Version: Spam Filter ISP 2.6.3.473
Pros
Instead of spending thousands or 10s of thousands $$$, I have been using SpamFilter ISP for a long time. It is an excellent software to fight against spam and virus. Since we are a shop with about 10,000 email/week, from both cost and effectiveness, this is a great tool. I also use it to pre-screen for any virus. Basically I banned all excutable and video/audio attachments, and spam and virus has become unheard in my company.
Cons
It would be nice to have a admin WebUI

"Best bang for the buck"
Version: Spam Filter ISP 2.6.3.473
Pros
you simply will not find a better spam/incoming email filter on the market. This product is very highly configurable and easy to use. Just visit the website and read about all the different options...too many to list here. Also notice that the product is always having more options added to it. It is very light weight and easy to install and upgrade.

"You can pay more but you won't get a better spam filter for SMB or ISP's"
Version: Spam Filter ISP 2.6.3.473
Pros
Users were getting 30-50 spam messages a day, with SpamFilter ISP users get about 1-3 spam messages a month. Administration is easy, once properly deployed and configured, its as close to set and forget as software can be.
Cons
Web GUI interface works but needs updating.

The software has dozens of filters, varying from DNS blacklists to statistical scanning, to honeypots and keywords, country filters, DNS record tests.... just too many to list here!
Cons
I don't like that I did not find it sooner... :-)

"Extremely effective and support is top notch. Big thumbs up!!"
Version: Spam Filter ISP 2.6.3.473
Pros
The product has evolved extremely well over time and the developers are very receptive to new ideas. We have looked at other spam filtering gateways but have yet to find anything better!

"Excellent!"
Version: Spam Filter ISP 2.1.1.395
Summary
Great accuracy and it provides a lot of flexibility in how we block spam. Definetly worth 10 times the purchase price.
