Version: SoundTap Streaming Audio Recorder 1.40
"Changes your sound properties and NO Technical Support at all"
Pros: It was easy to use.
Cons: Changing your sound properties is more a nuisance than a real problem, still that shouldn't have.
But I have a problem with the software. I upgraded from one version to a newer version that shouldn't be a paid upgrade, yet I lost my code and the software went to trial mode.
I've written 5 times to different departments of the company and have received NO answer at all.
So, if you want to waste your money and patience with a recorder that is not the best and with a customer service that simply doesn't exist, then buy this program. Otherwise, look for other alternatives. There are good ones out there, even free ones.

"Company tries to rip you off."
Pros: It appears to be a good product. I got a new computer which came without the regular recording control levels and all the other recorders don't work.. but this one did. So it would have been perfect for me.
Cons: Well. It says here that the product is on special offer for just under $20. That would have been a good deal.
I went to pay by credit card. My card was declined twice and was told that if I tried a third time, I'd be blacklisted.. but I could pay by invoice but I'd not be able to receive the discounted price. I'd have to pay full price, plus the cost of the invoice and other costs... the total cost would have been upwards of $60.
Not quite the same deal.
I tried with three different credit cards and was declined with all of them.
Shame.. the product would have been good but the company's ethics don't sit well with me.

"The most invasive rubbish I have ever loaded onto a computer"
Cons: To think that I actually paid for this junk. Days after "getting rid" of this program I am still finding stuff it has added to my machine without my knowledge. STEER CLEAR !

Version: SoundTap Streaming Audio Recorder 1.40
Pros: while it worked for what I needed, NCH software was VERY invasive and totally reconfigured my sound card settings.
Cons: Sound would only work with NCH programs running, when uninstalled, removed sound card drivers and I have yet to get my sound card to work again or even reinstall the drivers.
