Sound Grinder 3.4.1 for Mac User Reviews

"BEWARE! This will only convert half a song."
Version: Sound Grinder 3.3.9
Pros
none- wasted 2 hours. The DBs that run this company have no idea how to run a business. They do know how to make the customer mad, angry and hateful towards this company.
Cons
had to do everything all over again. VERY disappointed!
Summary
unless you are going to pay the $30 upfront dont bother downloading this trail version.

"Did no like to be fooled by fake trial offer"
Version: Sound Grinder 3.3.8
Pros
could have been a good SW but right at the start when I tried to use for the first time found out that the trial is a fake . They dont mention before but actually you can only convert 50% of the file.
Cons
None , Dont liked to be tricked , Dont recomment . If they had been honest I would probably have buy the product after trying.

"An Outstanding Product and Company"
Version: Sound Grinder 3.2.6

Our two companies have been using Sound Grinder from Monkey Tools for three years. Sound Grinder has produced outstanding results for us. The SG interface is very clean, intuitive and easy to use yet provides a high level of control over the sound, components and format of final product. Sound Grinder features and performance compare favorably with several professional studio applications costing many times more. The learning curve is quick and results are immediate out of the box. Monkey Tools provides prompt, reliable and informed support for its product. We use 12 software applications for mastering music albums and the assistance we received from Monkey Tools is better than our experience with any other software company that we have dealt with. We enthusiastically recommend Monkey Tools and Sound Grinder to anyone in the business of making music. Do yourself a favor and try this product. You will not be disappointed.

"Easiest and Highest Quality - Best Audio App I Own"
Version: Sound Grinder 3.1.1
Pros
In the last seven years I have been developing a music career and done live and studio recording. Now that distribution for indie artists can be done largely on an independent basis it is important to be able to take highest quality recordings and alter them in various ways to comply with distribution sites and stores. Sound Grinder offers the most bang for the buck, is high quality with no known bugs that I have experienced, it has never crashed and has all the options needed for most instances. Being able to batch convert whole folders at once is a total life saver. You can rely on Sound Grinder and Monkey Tools with this product. It has been officially road tested and this app I'm not throwing out of the tour van.

All I needed was to convert a flac file to something usable. For that I tried to demo this program and was prevented not only of testing it but when I tryed to uninstall it basically hijacked the Finder and crashed it. I have nothing good to say about this sofware. -
"I Love This Product"
Version: Sound Grinder 2.5.6
Summary

On my iMAC running OSX (10.3.9) Sound Grinder performs conversions better than iTUNES and has features for normalizing audio files to a common volume level as well as several other very useful features. It is VERY easy to use; the user guide is VERY easy to understand; and the tech support is OUTSTANDING! I love this product and recommend it highly. -

This is embarrassingly bad. For starters, no Intel version a year later, and, if you want to rip to mp3, you install the PPC version (for which you don't need this app to use, just install the LAME codec into your Quicktime folder). To discover that it's PPC-only, I had to dig; these ppl are slightly dishonest in not admitting that they've not bothered to offer an Intel or UB version.
I've tried using this for over a year and it always just doesn't quite seem to do the job--oh yes, sometimes it does, but so slowly I'm transported back to my days owning a Mac SE30, 1990 vintage.
There are better, free/open-source apps for this or a similar set of cross-rippers elsewhere. Try Max or Audacity, and if you want real power, pay for Amadeus Pro (and please donate to the open-source developers). Why is it that this, MusicMan, and SoundConverter suck so badly while open-source solutions all seem to work better? -
"Intel problems"

Great application, but no Universal version. Contextual menu does not work with Intel based Macs! Can't wait for native Intel version, bring it on! -
