"Better Program that I found So-far"
Pros: goes to a download site page and shows you want is going on...downloading time in KBS and bar graph style.
Cons: I have not seen anything ..yet.

Version: Sothink Web Video Downloader for Firefox 5.0.80812
Pros: I?ll say it can Download SWF flash files and FLV video files and it has player for this. None of my players and codec?s can play FLV better then Sothnik FLV Player.
Cons: Yes the Fire Fox Freezes along with the rest of the applications but it recovers quickly just don?t do anything and it will melt. Sothnik FLV Player fails to render video higher then 320*240 sometimes, just reopen the same file and it will fix.
Summary: I have downloaded over 2 GB of video file so I know. Is the best video downloading program I cnow but is fails do work at MTV.COM read more

"It's better than other stand alone youtube video savers"
Pros: Not like all other youtube video savers where you can only browse and save videos from certain websites, Sothink Web Video Downloader uses firefox to browse any websites in the world and download their videos right away from your firefox.
Cons: It saves it's downloading videos into temp files, so when you download huge videos (ex: 200mb) & it's time to save temp into flv, your firefox will freeze. DON'T CLOSE your firefox, don't ctrl+alt+del. Just wait, It's just compiling its temp into flv
Summary: Other youtube downloaders only allow you to browse and save videos from youtube or other lame websites. But this software uses firefox to surf anywhere you want and save it right away from your firefox browser. I use it everyday to download very huge... read more
