"It works with Windows 7!!"
Version: SonicStage CP 4.3
Pros
Uncomplicated design. Decent sound. Good CD ripper. Really good at finding track info online (better than Mediamonkey etc IMO).
Cons
Slow response if you import a large music library. Won't play FLAC.
Summary
I didn't expect SonicStage to work on my new Windows 7 laptop, but it does. I just downloaded and installed this version and it worked straight away - no compatibility issues at all! (So I won't be throwing out my MP3 Walkman just yet.)

"Sonic Stage apparently not supported on Windows 7"
Version: SonicStage CP 4.3
Pros
None for Sony. Good for Apple
Cons
I own a Sony Network Walkman. The fact that Sony has discontinued support for Sonic Stage on Windows7 means I can't upload or download files between my Sony Network Walkman and my PC and my Network Walkman becomes obsolete.
Summary
I will need to upgrade to a new Network Walkman. This is unlikely to be a Sony product. I will probably buy an Apple Nano.

Cons

"Sony what were they thinking."
Version: SonicStage CP 4.3
Pros
The 50hr battery on the player, better than the 1.5 my original Walkman cassette player used to manage.
Cons
I haven't changed the music in such a long time. I've got about 6,500 songs to listen to at home and Spotify and Myspace. I really don't know what Sony were thinking, still musn't show fear have a long train journey next year and need the 50hrs.
Summary
Love the player feelings towards Sony similar to those of Bill Gates on occasions, I assume they mean well.

"It worked for me when I wanted to use it , a result ."
Version: SonicStage CP 4.3
Pros
Easy to find , easy to use . What it should be . In my opinion do not waste time with connect player .
Cons
No cons already !
Summary
Sony went out on a limb sticking to their atrac system & it backfired .
Memories of betamax come to mind . We had a Sony betamax video recorder and it was good but like the majority we went over to vhs .
Matsushita ( technics , panasonic , national ) do not make marketing mistakes . -
"it works OK"
Version: SonicStage CP 4.3
Pros
basic, stable, simple and reliable. There is nothing flash about it so there is little to go wrong.
Cons
updates of the software are very rare so nothing really improves. Vompared with iTunes it is very basic. It would be nice to cut and oast details from SonicStage into Excel or Word to make CD covers.
Summary
As i have a Sony MP3 player then really i have little choice what i can use.
I am sure Sony would sell more MP3 players if this sortware was better. -
"very useful specially if you have MD players"
Version: SonicStage CP 4.3
Pros
it is user friendly and the transferring of music files are really fast. it is really a compatible program for MD players
Cons
the only problem is that, it does'nt recognize older version of music files and it cannot convert them to the new version of sonicstage
Summary
I like this program because tranfer of music is really fast and useful to my sony MD player

"most of the glitches with the older onegone"
Version: SonicStage CP 4.3
Pros
finally works with my vista, otherwise would constantly crash because of incompatibility issues.
Cons
they could have changed their back ground and made it look better....
Summary
Got my mp3 in 07, and it came with sonic stage 3.3, not COMPATIBLE WITH vista!! and everytime I'd put the computer on it would crash. Got my drives formatted thinking it's a virus.... but did not resolve. Ofcourse Sony kept selling incompatible software long after the vista was in the market with no immediate upgrades. So it's been awhile but it's good to have my mp3 player finally functional again. the hardware has always been good but .....why the delay in the upgrade. They've lost many fans , I know when I upgrade I'll be strongly looking at ipods. otherwise the new version of sonic stage does not seem to hae many glitches... the background however lacks personality and they could improve their look.
