Is anyone else tired of Software pushers posting "Free Trials" as "Freeware"?
This is a free trial of software for a short trial time period that also limits you to 10 minutes of output video.
It does not "trim the file" but rather makes a copy of selected portions of the file and saves it as a new file.
Start and end time is selected by clicking on the time line, which makes it very difficult to get an exact start and stop where you want it to.
Uninstallation was diffucult and left numerous traces of file structure behind.
The software installs itself as an add-on to Microsoft Media Player and becomes part of media player whenever it is started.

Very easy to use and does exactly what it says and no more. Great for editing videos taken with your point and shoot. Great for shortening videos for emailing. Exactly what I was looking for.

It is simple to use, I needed to trim the beginning and end of an AVI file I made, and it did that with ease, no fuss at all. A user guide comes with the installation, which was wonderful.. I would recommend this program.

Pros
Does the job, easy to learn...you may want to not install the plugin option as you'll get pop-ups...shareware seems to be synonymous with watermarks and pop-ups in software...instead view your avi's through divx player - no pop-ups.

Pros
Extremely fast! I cut a 200M clip out of a 900M avi file (at 720x544) in about 3 minutes. Preserved screen resolution and quality.
Cons
No drag and drop. No frame fwd/rvs, but does allow manual input of start/stop time through keyboard down to .001 sec. Had to use MS Movie Maker to get the exact frame locations I wanted to cut, and write them down, though I could have used the slide bar and drag back/play/pause over and over again to get the right point. Start time on clips seem to run about 4 seconds early, when viewing the final copy. Instructions, help files and examples would be nice, but even as a beginner I managed quite fine.
