Select one of seven preset boards to play on or easily create your own custom 3D boards. It comes with fully customizable 3D views, sounds, and 3D animation effects. Version 1.4 features an improved graphics system, 3D card models, and seven new solitaire games.

Although some competing games offer more variations of solitaire, this program scores points for its polished presentation and plentiful customization options. Solitaire 3D gives you 30 card games, from well-known ones, such as Yukon and FreeCell, to more uncommon versions, such as Queen of Italy and Waning Moon. The program provides basic rules for each game, but doesn't give any general tips on how solitaire is played. Graphically, this game is better than many other solitaire games around, and the flipping card sound effects are realistic enough. You can set the animation speed, choose the card alignment, and choose from a number of different camera angles and boards. Our favorite feature, however, is the ability to design your own custom cameras and gameboards if you don't care for any of the included ones. If you're a fan of solitaire card games, we don't see why you shouldn't give this one a shot.
