Version: Solid PDF Creator 1.1 build 052
Pros: not many of us can afford expensive programs like adobe indesign (700$US), especially when you just want to convert simple files into PDFs for publication.
solidPDF is a VERY excellent alternative and is basically free - the nag screen is not annoying at all. if you can make a file in microsoft word all you need to do is drag it and you'll have a PDF file without having to fork over close to a grand.
i use this proudly for my manuscripts and comics when companies ask for a manuscript PDF file.

Version: Solid PDF Creator 1.1 build 052
Pros: I have used other PDF creators that are clumsy and that freeze up or take up too much resources to use.
This program is easy and saves me time and money on printer ink because I can print online order invoices and my tax forms directly to PDF and store them for later, rather than add them to a loose stack of papers on my desk.
Files are small enough to email easily.
I love being able to set the security level so I can have documents on my computer without fear that others will open them.
This program is worth far more than it's cost!

"Woo! An update to an already free program!"
Pros: Nice FREE PDF creator. The nag screen doesn't seem to make you wait very long. I'm up to 17 created files and I don't have to wait at all. Maybe it takes a while before the NAG kicks in?
Cons: Nag screen
