This simple program catches activity on your desktop and saves it into image files. After an awkward two-part installation, Solid Capture launches on your desktop and starts the configuration process. You can tell the program what to do with the captured image: copy it to the clipboard, save it to disk, or open it. The program opens up as a panel that offers options such as which region to capture. You can save the images as JPEG, TIFF, PNG, or BMP files. Competing programs can grab stills from videos and games, but this one can't. If you want to capture stationary regions of your screen with a single click, though, Solid Capture can be handy.Publisher's description
