  "Great tool for traceless uninstall of any software"

  Pros

  I use it on Windows XP, and is much faster than the new Symantec Workspace Virtualization (SWV) tool! Use this lic. code for free personal use (free): b6c5a-wiy8u-e89de-c3cv4

  Cons

  Simpler and not so feature-rich GUI than that of SWV.

  Summary

  Don't forget to set global excludes (Edit - Edit Global Excludes) for your data drives/directories (and subdirs!), otherwise you get pretty strange behaviour - files or file modifications disappearing, etc.

  "Great tool if you like to repackage manually"

  Pros

  I don't have much need for app virtualization which I can't satisfy more easily with BufferZone or SandboxIE. I just like to use SVS to monitor installers so I can repackage them from scratch. I've used WinInstall, Prism, MS SMS, and various other monitoring tools which are designed for repackaging, but they all assume that I want to start with their auto-generated packages and modify. I prefer to start with an empty package and add everything so I know exactly what's happening and I don't overlook anything suspicious or unnecessary. Those repackagers don't provide the kind of visibility I need for doing this. With SVS, it's easy to inspect captured layers.

  Cons

  Many people have a problem with the spartan GUI which comes with SVS, and there are several community-developered front-ends which address this, but I'm not so much bothered by the simplicity of the GUI as much as I am by the clumsiness of what's there. Menus and labels are just awkwardly worded and named. For a new or infrequent user, it's far too easy to come away with the conclusion that the product just doesn't work.

  "Can't install!!"

  Cons

  For the product key, I am delivered a file named yourfile.aspx I can find no way to use this for the product key. So, I completely unable to install the program.
