"BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!"

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR ANY LULU SOFTWARE PRODUCTS! The customer NON support is totally non-responsive to assisting someone, they will put you on hold and will not come back to you. I purchased the product from Fry's Electronics and installed it a couple of months ago. My computer crashed a few days ago and I had to reinstall all of the software. When I tried to register SodaPDF, it would not recognize my license key. I called their "tech support" number and was told that the tech needed to remotely access my machine to see what the problem was. NONSENSE! I had just installed a fresh copy of Windows and had Norton Internet Security running so there was literally no chance of a virus. He insisted that that was the only way that he could help me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold indefinately. Bottom line: I paid $59.99 for a two-month software subscription!
Summary
I will never buy another product from Lulu software. They are impossible to contact, they didn't even respond to my email that I sent them. Don't waste your time or money, there are other products that do the same job that will not give you the heartburn that this one does!

"Does everything Adobe did for me"

I recently switched to Soda PDF after using Acrobat for years. Happy to see that there is an affordable alternative. I mainly use this product for editing and annotations,and it's working really well.

I changed from Adobe to Soda PDF and i must say it's a really good PDF Editor for its price.
- It's easy to use and it does almost everything as Adobe. -Conversion from PDF to Word is very quick.
- The 3D view is also a really cool feature if you have to read PDfs reports like me.Cons

1. Installation of this product changed my default on new tabs and my homepage on my Firefox and Internet Explorer Browswers. The homepage issue I could solve but I am still stuck having to hit the homepage again to get back to my preferred search.
2. This program interrupted my work with an update that took over an hour to install. I couldn't open PDFs until completing the installation.
3. Opening the program is very slow and has crashed my system.Summary
This program has many more downsides than benefits. The lower price does not cover the lost time and aggravation of of having to reset browsers, change habits, and wait for documents to load. Buying it was a mistake. I regret it. For the billable time I have lost with this program I could have purchased Adobe Acrobat.

I can't really say as I don't have much experience.

Even though the articles say it does, it does not accept tiff-s. This is unfortunate as tiff is said to be the best format for OCR.

Overall I have found Soda PDF to be a great alternative to using Adobe. It has all the features that I need to use for my business. I tried Soda hoping that it would be a good option for my day to day needs as Adobe is much more costly. It has proven to be a solid application and it can handle anything that i throw at it. I have been using it for only a little while now but so far I feel that it was money well spent.
