Publisher's description of Socket Master
From Eric Shufro:Socket Master allows users to create a listening tcp/udp socket and an outgoing tcp/udp socket for testing embedded network connectivity during the development cycle. Received and transmitted data can be entered in string form, decimal, or hex notation. This allows non printable characters like 0x00 or 0xff to be sent or received, unlike similar tools which allow only printable ascii characters to be transmitted and received. Great for debugging all types of network enabled applications.

Version: Socket Master 1.00.56
"Useful for personal projects, nothing big."
Pros: Easy to use interface, thoughtful features.
Cons: VB installer is poor, made me restart after "upgrading" files, and then repeated itself after install, ad infinitum. Installed manually, but not useful for more than a few bytes of network traffic, as might be typical of normal applications. Not recommended for anything more than personal projects or very simple network tasks.
