"Cool! Great! Funn!"
Version: Snes9x 1.52
Pros
I didn't download it from here, but this emulator is great! And just Google some ROMs and you've got it made. I have lots of oldies on my Mac, Super Mario Brothers, Out to Lunch, Breath of Fire, Legend of Zelda.
Cons
Nothing is wrong with it, but on a Mac it can be annoying that you have to get used to using keys instead of a controller, so maybe getting one or a joystick would help.

"Slower than 1.4.3"
Version: Snes9x 1.5
Summary

I have both 1.4.3 and 1.5 on my Macbook and even though 1.5 is Universal it runs a tad lower than real-time, but the PPC 1.4.3 version runs full-speed.
Also, the freeze states aren't compatible. -

"Greatest emulator I've tried"

Easy to configure (using the PC-only Logitech gamepad was a breeze), fast to use and best of all; it friggin RUNS (quite rare for a Mac-based console emulator!).
Use this stuff, it's the best emulator you'll ever find. My girlfriend's stuck in front of my PowerBook with Mario and I can play PS2 in piece. It's lovely. -

Not crippled or full of glitches - simple with many, many features and ease of use. Best of all it is freeware. -
"Simply the best"

This is the best SNES emulator out there. I haven't come across a game that it can't emulate properly. This emulator is even better when you buy a USB Gamepad! I can't live without it. Keep up the good work! -

"Good SNES Emulator"
Version: Snes9x 1.41-1 (v43.1)

Of all the SNES Emulators used, this is the best i've used so far. Works well with my Ti Powerbook 500 mhz/1gb ram on 10.3. FULL SET OF FEATURES , like Super Scope & other input devices. (very cool). The only thing I did not like was how the Cheat Codes / Game Genie is set up and the ability to change the screen size. I recommend this if you have a few roms from www.emureactor.com you need to play. -

I didn't notice this was being listed on VT now. Good to know. I stumbled upon this one awhile back, and very quickly found it superior to the plain "SNES9X". Better organization in menus, much nicer preferences and many more options than the regular one are the best features. It might run better too, but I'm not sure about that.
In addition to the above, Custom is updated a LOT more than non-custom, which is a big plus in my book; it shows the developer really wants to make a good product better.
So in case it wasn't obvious: I definitely think this is the best SNES emu for the Mac, hands-down.
