"This app is so stable, useful and friendly, it's..."

    Version: SnapNDrag 2.2

    Summary

    ...ridiculous

A truly great app that keeps improving over time. I don't use screen shots that often, but when I need to, SnapNDrag is an old reliable friend. One hallmark of great software is that it can be used intermittently without needing to figure it out all over again. Simple, functional elegance!

    Summary

I am using an old hardware configuration and it didn't work for me. Too bad, it looks great and would have helped me.

I am using an older G4 AGP Sawtooth with the ATI rage 128 video card on System 10.4.8

    "Still works like a charm"

    February 6, 2007  |   By Bud Simrin

    Version: SnapNDrag 2.1.3

    Summary

I doubt that the referenced "smearing problem" is very widespread. I have never seen it. What I can't understand is how that rater could only give 2 stars for the price when it is free! I give it 5 stars all the way around -- still the best freeway screen capturing utility and simple to use. Not quite as simple as SnapZPro, but look at the price difference!!!

    "Still the best"

    January 4, 2007  |   By GianMarco Tavazzani

    Version: SnapNDrag 2.1.2

    Summary

InstantShot! tried to open new ways and showed for the first time that even this wonderful little gem could become easier and quicker to use.
But for now and after a first comparison, it stays always the best!

A must have utility. It's the easiest way to grab a screen shot, or a portion of your screen.

    "Great, Stable Little Application"

An easy-to-use, wonderful little utility that allows for quick, window-specific screenshots, or the usual, full-screen type. Excellent, stable and reliable.

    "if only. . ."

    March 7, 2006  |   By matterman

    Version: SnapNDrag 1.6.7

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
It is difficult to praise SnapNDrag any more than it already has been. It just works, its intuitive, flexible and stable.

Now that I have been using it for a few years, it is the little things that are beginning to bug me though. It wont let me do screen grtabs of my second monitor. This is a big deal as the only way to get a shot of an applications palettes is is with a timed screen grab. The reason for the second monitor is a place to put those palettes. Every time I need to shoot an applications palette I have to move it onto my main screen, then do a timed screen grab, drag the image from SnapNDrag to an image editor, crop, save to my desktop (or it will go into an invisible folder at the root level of your drive), then move the palette back to where it belongs. This is a pain when you have been spoiled by the ease that SnapNDrag does everything else.
