"Works on Diamond (sort of)"
Pros: Great idea.
Free.
Great for finding a misplaced phone.Cons: Background mode not very stealthy and seems to disable future reconfiguration of the program settings.
Summary: I installed this program successfully in the internal storage card on my HTC Touch Diamond (sprint). I set up the code word and configured it to send the location coordinates to my email. I also checked the "Background Mode" box in hopes that it would work discreetly on the phone. When I sent the text message to my phone it opened my email account on the phone to send the coordinates back. I'm not sure if that was due to a phone setting or if it was caused by the tracking program. I got the email on my laptop and sure enough, it had a link to Google maps that pinpointed the phone's location. I tried to open the program on my phone in order to try it without the background mode but it wouldn't open! Maybe the background mode works too well in the wrong way?? I reinstalled the program and set it up without the background mode checked and this time I could open the program and change the settings. The phone did the same routine with the email and this time opened the program and showed the settings as well. Not very stealthy! It seems to work well for finding your misplaced phone, which is what I wanted.
Not good as a discreet tracker.
