"Slow as most of the proxies servers"

Has a 70-80% success connection rate. Better then most others. Good product for the cost.

Still way to slow and still to many "Time Out" for server.
Summary
Best match for the cost verse the performance of others I have tried. I have paid more for less reliable proxy programs but still border line as to if it is being dependable enough to use all the time.

There is no longer any trial for this software according to the site. You have to purchase a subscription before you can even see if it works. Also, the cost is a per month charge vice the one posted in CNET.
Summary
I don't like it because it is misleading. It is advertised as trialware, but after installing I find that there is a different story. To me, that makes the company untrustworthy.

It installed good, but needed updating. It has done it's job well and the hacker has stopped because my IP is hidden!

"Among The Very Best Anonymous Browsing Utilities!"

Finding the right online privacy utility proved to be a frustrating task. A few worked well, others were marginally reliable at best, and some barely worked at all. Of the top performers, only two met my pricing objectives. In the end it came down to GoTrusted and SmartHide. Though GoTrusted was slightly less expensive ($5/month vs. $7.50/month for a 6 month subscription) I chose SmartHide. Unlike many similar applications, SmartHide offers virtually instant connectivity and the ability to switch IP's and/or secure mode on-the-fly. Because Avorax (the developer) maintains their own high-performance proxy network, anonymous browsing, banking, gaming, downloading, and emailing is fast and rock-solid secure. Of equal importance, I found SmartHide's compatibility with off-site LANS, WiFi networks, etc., to be reliable and consistant. So far SmartHide hasn't met a network it doesn't like! As for installation, no user configuration is necessary and navigation of the control panel is intuitive enough for any novice.
In my opinion, anyone in the market for an online privacy application owes it to themselves to give SmartHide a try before making any decisions. I'm sure there are other worthy solutions available, but after trying more than a dozen my search stopped with SmartHide. For those who don't want to pay, the trial version has no expiration and includes many of the features of subscription version.
Cons
Other than wishing the monthly fee was a bit less, no "cons" so far!
