  "Wow, just lost my trust."

  Pros: I used to love it, but they pulled the rug out too fast and rubbed us the wrong way.

  Cons: Warning: SmartFTP now requires you to purchase, or they will hijack your client and settings forever. Way to alienate your user base, SmartFTP.

  "From amazing to bloated, from free to pay."

  Pros: Tabbed connections.

  Cons: Originally, SmartFTP was an awesome FTP client with drag and drop support. It had amazing functionality without a whole lot of bloat. As SmartSoft continued to develop the software, it became bloated with annoying optional "features" that eventually became forced, such as the horrible clogging Transfer Queue.

  Now SmartFTP, in its bloated annoying form, is no longer free. I might consider buying the old, unbloated version for a small fee, but neither it nor this slow bloated monster are worth the amount SmartSoft is trying to leech from people.
