"A promising piece of software"
Version: Smart UAC Replacement 1.0
Pros
Liked the idea and wanted to try. After installing and restarting, the new UAC started to monitor all programs that was attempting to run; That was interesting!
Cons
My PC got stuck after three or four alerts from the program. I didn't want to judge the program so fast so I hard restarted my PC and tried again. The problem continued. After three reboots. I uninstalled it.
Summary
What a pity! I was looking for such a program but it simply does NOT work!

"pointless if you ask me"
Version: Smart UAC Replacement 1.0
Pros
pros? None I have noticed other than free.
Cons
Causes more system problems than worth.
Summary
Programs like this do more damage than goo. You can easily and effortlessly disable Windows UAC. In vista Just open control panel select user accounts and select the turn on off uac feature. Once it is deactivated you no longer will recieve the uac annoying pops on every program.

"TROJAN!!! BEWARE"
Version: Smart UAC Replacement 1.0
Pros
This is a backdoor trojan and is packaged with several Rogue software. The UAC from MS is actually very good. This POS does nothing but compromises your computer
Cons
This is why Cnet is no better than Brothersoft. I always get latest software from filehippo.com
Summary
You download this to replace Vista/7's UC, but it compromises your computer. Do not use this garbage

"TERRIBLE POS"
Version: Smart UAC Replacement 1.0
Pros
The company leads you to believe that installing their software is a better way of controlling Vista UAC. Bologna ! !
Cons

Summary
MORE UAC NAG SCREENS, lockups, 10 minute shutdowns. All I wanted to do was play Spider Solitaire and this "Smart" UAC Replacement kept giving UAC nag screens, often requesting permission for UNNAMED executables!! I opened Task Manager and was shocked to see over 100 processes running, normally I have fewer than 75. WHY ARE ALL THOSE SERVICES RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND WHEN USING SMART UAC as apposed to the MS UAC? I think this is either a terribly contrived POS or it is a trojan itself.
