Complex recovery via USB connection to internal hard drive - did not access disk in standard path, etc. Issue was not likely solely due to Smart FAT recovery

Recovered 99% of my lost and damaged files from flash drive

UI needs some refinement. Should be able to select all files on drive, instead you have to chose to restore folder by folder. Also everytime you restore file succesfully, the restore destination folder pops up in your face, gets annoying.
Summary
Please take the Cons with a grain of salt, I was trying to remain objective. However, make no mistake, if you had a damaged flash drive like me where you seemed to have lost all your important school work, this app is a life saver.
I would also like to add, I did a general search on CNET for recovery apps, not knowing what i was looking for exactly. I tried over 5 apps I found on CNET before finding this one. The prior apps were "higer ranked" and "more popular" such as pandora. Don't be fooled, all those supposed better apps can't even compare to SMART FAT RECOVERY. They either coudn't find all my files, or weren't TRULEY free.
This app is awesome, it will save your life. Sure it has a very primative and somewhat lacking user interface, but its a very small complaint considering what this will do for you. Not to mention the best part, IT WAS TRULY FREE, unlike some of the other "free" apps listed, which do find your damaged files, but then ask you to pay to recover them.
Simple, effective, free.
