"MALWARE!!!"
Version: Smart Defrag 2 2.7.0.1165
Pros
malware!!!
Cons
malware!!!
Summary
Changes your DNS settings, installs 3rd party software, installs "helpers" into your browsers that are very resistant to deleting, sets software to run during startup without permission, etc etc.
This is the second program on cnet I've seen that does this. My trust for cnet downloads is now zero. -

"Great Product!"
Version: Smart Defrag 2 2.7.0.1165
Pros
Since I am not a computer expert, I'll leave the Pros to the "Pros"
Cons
No Draw Backs that I can think of.
-
"Only works when it's in the mood."
Version: Smart Defrag 2 2.7.0.1165
Pros
Easy to use and has a boot-time defrag option.
Cons
DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK.
Smart Defrag worked perfectly on my old XP system, but since upgrading to a Win7 laptop I have found that Smart Defrag only works about 20% of the time. When I load it up and click on either 'defrag' or 'analyse' (it doesn't matter which) the chances are it will act as if it's about to start, but then it just stops and sits idly again.
Annoyingly, I can't even seem to find an easy link to tell IOBit about the problem.Summary
This might work on your system, but it doesn't work properly on mine.

"3rd Party Software Installed Even When Opting Out"
Version: Smart Defrag 2 2.7.0.1165
Pros
Ok if you want your browser settings highjacked.
Cons
I will never use another IOBit product again. At least not until they stop all 3rd party software deals/installs.
I specifically unchecked the options to install an IOBit toolbar yet it and some other browser add-on and software was installed onto my system and installed into every Mozilla Firefox profile and version (Aurora, Nightly, etc). Probably for IE too, but I didn't check.
I have 12 Firefox profiles and have had to create new profiles for all.
An example of what IObit does.
user_pref("browser.keywordURLPromptDeclined", 1);
user_pref("browser.keywordURLPromptDeclined", 1);
user_pref("browser.search.defaultenginename", "Yahoo");
user_pref("browser.search.selectedEngine", "Yahoo");
user_pref("keyword.URL", "http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=greentree_ff1&ei=utf-8&ilc=12&type=902615&p=");
user_pref("browser.search.param.yahoo-fr", "chr-greentree_ff&ilc=12&type=902615");
user_pref("browser.startup.homepage", "http://search.yahoo.com?type=902615&fr=spigot-yhp-ff");Summary
The software may be good, but the company has lost my trust and I highly suggest that others do not even take the risk of using IObit software until they cut all 3rd party deals or, they start using reputable companies/services, -and-, they are transparent about what is being installed and they do not jam it into my system.

Pros
Works like a charm
Cons

Summary
The 2 reviews before mine appear that they have a malware infestation. There is a fake defragmenter program called "Smart Defragmenter", and it is not associated with "Smart Defrag 2". Smart Defrag 2 has been tested to be virus and malware free. Go here to see the results of the testing.

"Adware, Spyware, Malware"
Version: Smart Defrag 2 2.7.0.1165
Pros
On the plus side, Smart Defrag seems to have good options for defragging system files on bootup - a feature not available in many free or purchased defrag applications.
Cons
Makes multiple changes to your browsers and to Windows startup, even if you opt out of these features during installation. Installs multiple adware and spyware applications. Changes homepage, search engine, and startup behavior of browsers (I had Firefox set to open previously opened tabs on startup - this was change to always start Yahoo home page).
Uninstall doesn't remove the installed adware and spyware, let alone the changes they've made to your system.
____________
Defragging seemed a l little slow.Summary
Avoid this program - whatever it's benefits, it installs adware and spyware, so it is malware itself.

It installs a service called SearchSettings.exe that changes the search back to Yahoo after you manualy reset your browser to your default search.Summary
