Pros
Does dim the screen very well. Very consistent brightness level.
Does so by using camera to sample current lighting.
No occasional brightness flicker when opening or adjusting windows like some other freeware programs (like PangoBright).
Dims both monitors in a dual-monitor configuration.Cons
Must be a memory leak as it makes my computer very unresponsive over time.
Restarting the application cures the condition but this can take a while if the computer is 'hung up' (especially if returning to the computer after a day or two with Smart Brightness Controller running).
I own a copy of Smart Brightness Controller but have switched to PangoBright (even though there is some occasional brightness flicker). The 'memory leak' of Smart Brightness Controller is too much of a pain for me to deal with.Summary
As for the post by Tech1professional....
This program is not Spyware and was not taking pictures of the user. It was using the attached camera to sample the available light and would dim the monitors accordingly.
For example, if the computer was by a window to the outside, the monitors would be brighter during the day (when more ambient light is available) and would slowly dim as night fell.
I don't think that Tech1professional should necessarily be calling himself/herself a tech if he/she couldn't figure that out. -

it was taking video/pictures. My camera was turning on and off.
for all i know this was taking pictures of me and sending them to some creepy programer ....Sooooo I uninstalled it and it removed from uninstall programs but it still executed every time i started my computer i had to find the exe and delete it . this program is garbage and just another way to shove a product down your mouth.....p.s. this was all done a brand new laptop and im a tech so try to blame the user.....Summary
AWFUL MOST LIKELY SPYWARE !!!!!
