"Best intelligent choice"
Version: SlimBrowser 7.0.022
Pros
I have found that SlimBrowser is one of the very best (if not THE best) browser on the Internet today! It is fast and easy to use. I can even use my RoboForm with it and I can't be without my RoboForm! This browser is easy to customize and make it the way you want it. By all means Get It, you will be happy with it.
Cons
I have found absolutely nothing that I could call a Con.

"Shell Works With IE10"
Version: SlimBrowser 7.0.021
Pros
Faster than IE10, much to my suprise. Built-in AdBlock has EasyList, NZ Fanboy list and works as advertised, excellent pop-up blocker included with SlimBrowser. 12 thread downloader is much faster than ANY other browser. YouTube video downloader. Integrate with Ttwitter, Google Plus, Blogger, Wordpress, Gmail, Hotmail, StumbleUpon, etc. Automatic form filler/password manager. Save and open a number of sites together as a group with a single click in the web browser. Spell check. GPU hardware acceleration - I think it has to be enabled by user under the options in menu.
Cons
Not sure if IE's Smart Screen Filter ports into Slimbrowser for download protection - I use IE10 for downloading new programs.
Interface is outdated unless you shrink it to Compact Mode - passable then.Summary
Surprise - it's better and easier to use than IE10.

"Could Not Integrate With My A/V Program"
Version: SlimBrowser 6.01.101
Pros
Unknown...could not use.
Cons
When I tried to install Slim Browser in my system, my Anti-Virus program, F-Secure, made it pretty clear that it's not compatible with this browser and would not integrate (i.e: provide web protection, scan downloads, etc.) with it. So, out it went.
Summary
Since Slim Browser is essentially an I.E. clone (I've used it in the past and it's not bad - certainly more "fun" than I.E.), I thought it might work in my present system but it was not to be. F-Secure is particularly fussy about the browsers it works with (it barely tolerates Chrome), and I'm not about to chance running an unprotected browser. I can say from past experience, however, that it's a fairly decent browser and you might like it a lot - just don't try running it if you're using F-Secure.

"Terrible, unsuable"
Version: SlimBrowser 6.01.100
Pros
I get to uninstall it. My IE seems like a super browser now. lol.
Cons
I was annoyed in just 5min. Open a page and have to sit through the prehistoric sound of popup blocker going click, click, click, click, click (I was on cnet at the time). Try to go to another page and wait an average of 40-45 seconds for page to change and then another 40-45 sec for the page to load (again waiting through the click, click, click, click). This browser was all but unusable for me.
Summary
I usually don't give harsh reviews even when a product doesn't work the way I wish, but this is the worst thing I have ever downloaded in the 10yrs I have been using cnet (I Loooove cnet!). I was so disappointed after reading such great reviews about it. I understand that sometimes is that one that is a bad install or something else so I tried it twice..no good! I don't like a lot of addons and extension. I use one (WOT), besides the defaults that come with the browser and I disable those if I don't need them. I enabled the adblocker in the browser and that just made things worse.
Good luck to future users and I envy those that are using it and love it. I really wanted this to work. My IE9 is fast, but tabs crash to often and have to reload. Chrome is clunky and just flat out crashes. So I was hoping this would give me speed and stability. Not so much. I uninstalled and IE took me to Slimbrowser review and remarks page. loaded in 4secs. I guess one good thing came of this, IE seems like a monster now lol (yes I have used firefox. To clunky). -
"I wanted to like this, but ..."
Version: SlimBrowser 6.01.097
Pros
Lots of nice bult-in features and options.
Cons
"What were they thinking?!" behavior with popups. I saw this same odd behavior in Opera, too -- which is why I tried SlimBrowser. At least in Opera, there's a workaround, which SlimBrowser appears to lack. It's this:
On a site I regularly visit, the Javascript opens popup windows when I click on a certain links. They'll nicely sit there off to the side or behind tha main window. With SlimBrowser, The popup window is opened INSIDE a new tab which duplicates the current tab, sitting on top of that (duplicate) page. You can drag the popup all over that page, but you can't drag it off the page (as its own separate window).
I am just in awe at what seems to be the absolute stupidity of someone's decision to do something so bizarre!Summary
This is a very limited review. The behavior I encountered was enough to make me, sadly, drop SlimBrowser after just a couple of days.
