Version: Slice Audio File Splitter 1
Pros: It's a really nice program to do simple task, file splitting. Nice interface, options, etc.
Cons: Has a time limit and is crippled and I think it was like $30 to buy it. Why would I want to pay money for a program when I can get a program like KFK that is free and gets the simple job done? I might pay $5 to $10 for a prettier program, but $30? No way!

Cons: you can NOT set the begin or end time
it gives the option to split it into several parts...lame

"Excelent cuts but could further develop threshold slicing"
Pros: Makes seemles cuts! Able to process groups of files in one task.
The best tool in this category I found so fare, and the price is unbeatable!!!
Cons: I like a tool to identify suitable threshold level. Now one have to trial and error. To avoid chuncs of very smal files should a minimum size be feasible to specify. The durasion of silence should be defined in tens of second (e.g. 1.4 sec). Currently only increment in once of secunds.
I would also like to se a forcast of the resulting number of files and their sizes from a certain configuration prior to starting the (about) 10 minuter task.

"Slice and dice mp3 files with ease for free!"
Pros: Free!
Simple interface.
Splits multiple mp3 files.
Cons: In brief
1. Requires reboot after installation.
2. Appears to freeze (but doesn't) during processing.
In detail
1. Requires reboot after installation. I ran the program immediately after installation and it seemed to work, but it only went through the motions without actually doing anything. Once I rebooted and tried again it worked fine.
2. Appears to freeze (but doesn't) during processing. When splitting large mp3 files (> 100 MB) I noticed that program will appear to hang after the first few splits/slices. However, when I opened the output folder I noticed that the program was still creating new "slices" of mp3 files.

"it took some time to get it to work"
Pros: extremely simple interface, very easy to customize
Cons: it took many tries/installs to get it to output files--it looked like it was working, but it never sliced anything for the first ten tries...then miraculously, it started to work, and it's great!
