"somehow it killed the microphone"
Pros: ..........
Cons: Before I updated to this version, everything worked fine. But once I updated to this version, the mic stopped working. NO matter what I try (adjust the sound setting, test my mic, reboot my computer), it just doesn't work.
Summary: I'm pretty sure the problem is somewhere in the software. The updated somehow muted my sound setting. The Skype online support is just as useless as ever. If you email their tech staff, most likely they will just direct you to a support page which yo... read more

Pros: Easy setup, pretty easy to use. Excellent setup wizard to help you check audio and visual (if avaible) connections.
Cons: Iif you've never done any on-line communication other than e-mail it can be a little confusing to find available contacts.
Summary: Software is easy to set up and use, even for newbies. read more
