"Very good, free pdf reader"
Version: Skim 1.3.6
Pros
The note taking/highlighting is straight forward and nicely tracked in the right sidebar. I love the forward/back buttons, especially for checking footnotes and endnotes and easily getting back.
Cons
No cons, just suggestions for future releases. -Scribble/hand drawn notes as in PDFpen. -Single button zoom-in to see pdf in page width.
Summary
I very much enjoy working with Skim. Forward/backward function was the main reason I was looking for a new pdf reader.
"Zoom to fit" does exist as a custom tool bar button, but not as a menu item.
