Version: SimpleD Budget 1.05
"Excellent simple and effective budgeting software"
Pros: I love being able to create my own categories and set the amount I want to spend in that category each month. Different colors for each category.
Cons: no keyboard shortcuts to flip through budget tabs. windows OS only.
Summary: This is excellent software if you have one or two checking accounts you want to keep track of. You pick sources of income, then set up areas to allocate this income (like car, mortgage, groceries, etc.). I've found this method to be the most effective at creating and sticking to the budget. You cannot import files so you have to manually enter all transactions. This software is the only reason I still dual boot to Windows.
