From JDMCox :Simple Family Tree enables you to create and/or view a family tree quickly and easily. It displays ancestors and descendants of any selected individual (it reads and writes files in Gedcom format). You can enter notes, events, marriage details, and an alternate name for each individual. Additionally, you can see the age, birthday, and view a photo of an individual.
Version 1.28 is a bug fixing release.

Pros: Very simple and easy! Its free so be happy!
Cons: I found it boring at times.

"Simple but very easy and quick"
Pros: User interface is very powerfull. You always operate on the chart, with left clicks you change your home person very quickly, with rigth click you can enter information about anyone (no need to be home person).
Also when a person is selected all directly connected people (parents, children and their spouts) are shown very nicely.
Some people might find it too simple, but that's the name. Its simplicity makes it powerfull.
Cons: No support for international languages.
If you have 2 names only the first one is shown in the chart, no options.

Pros: free, easy to learn. standard file format (GED) that is shared with other software.
Cons: unstable in vista with large family (100 members). creates errors and crashes, losing information, or creating unintended links. Does not allow input of my gay cousin with spouse, or uncle with 5 marriages.
