Publisher's description
From JDMCox :Simple Family Tree enables you to create and/or view a family tree quickly and easily. It displays ancestors and descendants of any selected individual (it reads and writes files in Gedcom format). You can enter notes, events, marriage details, and an alternate name for each individual. Version 1.24 adds the capability to view a photo of an individual by adding a link to an existing photo. Dialog Box is shown when closing it (if at least one individual is showing) asking for a donation.

Version: Simple Family Tree 1.24
Pros: It's free
Cons: Very basic, text-based trees that move around rather unexpectedly.
Very little in way of help for how data should be input.
Started getting error messages, then found I could no longer load the file at all without the program crashing. Can certainly not be bothered to put it all back in again....

Version: Simple Family Tree 1.24
Pros: It's free and easy to use. It mostly does what I want it to do.
Cons: It doesn't work for all family situations. I tried to enter a relative and his male partner and a box came up telling me "no same sex marriages." I wonder if this is the programmer's way of getting political? There is also no way to show children with unmarried parents. This isn't Leave it to Beaver. Not all families are "traditional"!
