This comprehensive program comes with all of the tools you'll need to manage your business' invoicing and inventory needs. Users of all skill level will love its straightforward navigation. Our one complaint is the lack of choice in credit card processing vendors.
Simple Business Invoicing & Inventory has a pleasant, simple user interface. Colorful menu commands line the top of the window, and include options for processing invoices and quotes, managing customer information, and generating reports. Clicking on each command introduces a submenu of commands for creating specific invoices and records. Creating a new invoice was extremely intuitive. After clicking the Edit Invoice command, we selected the New option and starting filling out the required information. The program generated an invoice number, and we were able to search for the invoice using that number. The inventory features were just as intuitive, and simply involved adding a product, then selecting it from the list and entering the price per item and total cost. Once we entered our inventory info, we were able to quickly create a report.
The program does include the ability to process credits; however, you have to sign up with the publisher's credit partner, X-Charge, which is free, but requires signing a merchant agreement. We would have liked to have had the option of choosing our own processing vendor. You have 30 days to try out the program, and should you need it, an ample Help file is available. We highly recommend this program for any small business looking for a simple program to take care of invoicing and inventory needs.

"Great little stand - alone system."

Pros
Really simple and quick to use, does exactly what it says on the box.
I've been using just this and an exell spreadsheet for years to manage small company invoicing and accounts. Lots of useful reports all exportable as simple text or csv filesCons
Can''t think of much not to like. It doesnt do purchase orders, but then it never said it would.. Customers can only be searched for by surnames, but I have an early version of SBI; so this could have already been fixed in later versions.
Summary
I love using this little stand alone utlity that just gets on with the invoicing and inventory for a small business, and nothing else. Pay Owlsoft once for the download , and that's it - until you need to load onto a new computer, when you may need to pay for an update to a newer version.
Doesnt try to sell you anything else either; never get any spam from the manufacturers but their email support is very efficient. I only discovered their accounts software SBA (that can be linked to this invoicing system) by revisiting their site looking for a purchase order system. But neither SBI or SBA can handle purchase orders ):
SO I may have to move on, but not by choice. Been using this clever little minimalist system for years with absolutely no problems. Great invoicing and inventory system for a simple small business.
