Pros
Fortunately Vista 64-bit version from Dell works, but generates an annoying error message, to upgrade. Then, you try to upgrade and nothing is there, from IDT or Dell.
Cons
IDT & Dell do not support SigmaTel C-Major Audio on Windows 7 on XPS M1530. Google it. When I asked Dell if my XPS M1530 would support Windows 7, Dell said yes. BTW, I bought Dell's most expensive support packages on the 4 Dell computers I manage.
Summary
Fix it Dell. When I installed Win 7, all the Wiin 7 drivers were not there and Dell wanted $300 to fix the problems. This gives me no clean upgrade path on Dell H/W - UNACCEPTABLE, this is a PC! I figured out the drivers on my own and will buy HP next time. Dell used to have superior customer support in the PC world but I think they have fallen way behind.
