This combination timer and alarm clock works well, although it requires more memory than we'd like. SharpTimer writes to the system tray and can display either the timer or the current system time in 24-hour format. To switch between two, right-click its small display screen and select either the count up, count down, or alarm clock context-menu option. We find it very easy to count up or down from any user-specified number of hours, minutes, and seconds. The timer can be stopped, resumed, or reset using predefined hot keys. Setting the alarm clock works just the same as the timer, and both functionalities can play a WAV sound file and launch programs at the time designated. You can also change the color and transparency of the LED display. The downsides are that it takes a big chunk of your memory (23MB) and requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. Anyone seeking an attractive, effective timer and clock will find this a suitable option.Publisher's description
From Johannes Wallroth :SharpTimer is a sophisticated, elegant and easy-to-use timer program for your everyday use. You can use it to count up (to 100 hours), count down to zero from a preset time and use it in an Alarm Clock mode. The program window shows only the hours, minutes and seconds in an LED clock style, inside a small, unobtrusive window. Operation can be done by context menu, tray-icon or by keyboard. The colors are fully customizable. Timing can be stopped and resumed later, even at a later computer session, since elapsed time and all settings are saved. You can associate any WAV-file as a sound event and also a program to be launched at the alarm. Always-on-top mode and hidden mode available, along with some other options.
Version 1.1 adds minor graphic improvements.

Version: SharpTimer 1.1
"Works like a charm! I depend on this program a lot!"
Pros: everything. i love that it can be transparent, disappear but still keep the time, and go to minimize if you want it to. There have been LOTS of times I had to restart my computer and realized I didn't look at the timer before I restarted. But low and behold the timer left off right where it was interrupted and kept my time!
Cons: The only thing I would like to see is if I could put a word or small phrase over each clock I have open to signify what client that time was for. That would be great.
