"This product sucks!! BEWARE SCAM ALERT!!"
Version: SharpReader 0.9.7.0
Pros
It was free?
Cons
The program runs but cant be found in program list or add/remove programs. No uninstaller. Run a search and there are websites offering to sell you an uninstaller just for this program. Sharp Reader is a scam. Can not remove!!
Summary
Do not install this. You can not uninstall it even with a 3rd party uninstaller that I downloaded from cnet just to get rid of Sharp Reader! I still can not find a free way to get rid of it.

"Excellent aggregator I'm using for several years now."
Version: SharpReader 0.9.7.0
Pros
Simple. Efficient. With advanced controls over feeds. Simple highlighting and marking.
Tried several aggregators a year ago and always returned back to SharpReader.Cons
Memory hungry .Net application. Sometimes a little bit slower. Not updated for a long time. Could have some face lifting.
Summary
For several years my favorite RSS aggregator.

"Rated Excellent because it is a Reader and works nicely"
Version: SharpReader 0.9.7.0
Pros
Easy to install and no complicated installation prompts. Running is the same, add a feed address and it is added to the left view and updated immediately.
Cons
An almost complete lack of documentation.
Summary
Once installed started it up and checked all my system was working. I have a notebook with Photographic software and Video capture hardware that is critical. This all worked fine. None of my antivirus or system protection software complained. And the SharpReader worked, and 20yrs in IT tells me that's good.
Adding a feed is simple, you add the feed address with the option to subscribe. On hitting OK it is added to the left view and immediately updated.
I added a feed and clicked on an article, the browser showed a short "email" type paragraph!!! but couldn't figure out why the browser was not displaying the full article.
Checked option settings, nothing. Checked documentation, worse than nothing which spoils an otherwise good product. and the when I was getting really mad I double clicked by accident on an article and noticed a little bar in the bottom right corner, and Voila, up came the HTML version of the whole article.
With each feed there are options for feed and auto purge, otherwise you can leave them set to Default. You can also configure the Default options as well, handy.
The product is exactly what it say', a Reader. It is simple to install, simple to run, and simple to configure. The user interface is also simple. Easy for the inexperienced, and also the more experienced just looking for a reader.
On the author's needs to fix list:
Documentation is very poor. There is not much to document but doing so makes the difference between a good and bad product in a market that has thousands of packages on offer. The FAQ is a FAQ, not documentation.
