The freeware RSS reader offers some nice features, but its interface leaves much to be desired. SharpReader lets you merge feeds using folders. You can filter posts by keywords, age, and status (read, unread, locked). The program can notify you on new articles. SharpReader comes with a built-in browser so that you can view the full article text without quitting the program. However we didn t like that there is no address bar to enter URLs. Adding feeds could be easier. SharpReader does let you drag and drop links but many users would prefer adding a channel with a Context menu command in their browser. If you don t mind design issues, SharpReader makes a decent pick in the category of RSS readers.Publisher's description

Version: SharpReader 0.9.6
"Easy, Simple and does the job perfectly"
Pros: This piece of software gets the job done. It has just the right set of functions that you need and nothing more. The pop-up system when RSS feeds changes is good, simple and informative. Makes my day alot easier.
Cons: The program does have it's minor bugs. But once you use it, you really dont care. It's mostly GUI refresh related bug that appears. Nothing major, and nothing that I cant look past.

Version: SharpReader 0.9.6
Pros: Works as described, updates feeds, easy to install & use. Small memory footprint. You can even get a complete zipped binary from their site, if you don't have admin rights to install.
(It's on .NET so you need the .NET runtime to use this application.)
Cons: Not particularly beautiful to behold. Apparently the documentation is lacking some crucial information (like you need .NET runtime to use this!)

Version: SharpReader 0.9.6
Pros: This program does exactly what it says, and does a fine job of it! I first heard of this program on Dotto's Tech show and it prompted me to try it out. I'm so glad I did! It's simple and straightforward - so easy to use!
