    "There are better ones"

    by Theo K on April 4, 2008

Pros: Not comparable with "World Time 2006", which show to the user a world's map with all major cities, where by just moving the mouse pointer over a place it presents the time. Also, by using "World Time 2006" you can see on the world's map where there is night and where daylight. at the moment you use the program.

Cons: This one i.e "Sharp World Clock" gives you much less for more money.

"The best world clock i found on the market!"

by vktrklcs on July 8, 2008

Pros: Has many many features and it works without freezing my PCs! It loads fast, can add my own cities, the GPS type of navigation window is something that really helps the user and indicates that the maker took his work seriously. Every single person who saw this program was amazed by it's simplicity and price. This program has almost everything that a world clock needs. My favorite about this program is that my eyes like it from the very first time I started to use it. It's very user friendly. It's even a perfect gift if one don't know what to buy but would like to give something simple. In this multilingual, international world the Sharp World Clock is a necessary gadget to help to be time-keepers and it really helps to be more organized. Highly recommended tool for everybody who has family members, relatives, friends, business partners or mates abroad... ...oh by the way, purchasers can pay via Paypal too!

    "Excellent and fun"

by stavrojones on May 8, 2008

Pros: Having many friends and family located all around the world, and being a little bit of a globe-trotter myself, I decided to go search for a world clock applet for my Windows-based laptop. I checked out quite a few sites, but this one stood out by far, because it's very good looking, highly customizable, powerful and trustworthy being 100% clean and tested.

Being a programmer myself, I have a fairly good idea how much work has gone into this applet, and in my opinion it is by far the best world clock applet you will find for Windows on the net. You do get a lot for your money, and contrary to another person's review, a Mercator-style projection world map with day/night terminator lines is provided, simply double-click a clock to reveal more goodies.

In addition to customizable world time, I was pleasantly surprised to find the following novel extras: moon phase and related information, time zone converter (powerful), calender (neatly reminds you too), RSS feed reader and alarm clock.

In short, nothing short of excellent. Finally, the author Mr. Johannes Wallroth is also very courteous, helpful and responsive.

Cons: Maybe a tiny-bit on the heavy-side as far as system resources go, but I can imagine this is only noticeable with older hardware running Windows 9x, any computer bought in the last 5-years and this will fly. Other than this, nothing, a bit addictive as far as tweaking is concerned maybe? I noticed that another review commented that the layout was a little complicated, but I think considering the amount of options it is probably as intuitive as possible. Keep up the good work! 5 stars from me.
