when you right click the actual file then click properties then details, none of the info is displayed, but it was like this for all the programs i tried. BUT IT DOES SHOW UP IN ITUNES!!

Bravo! After trying several other programs which had issues with firewall, driver, can't find the Ipod, etc, this one did it.
I am no fan of Apple. I have the itty bitty nano ipod that someone gave me. I want to add songs to it like a thumbdrive, very simple. I loathe Itunes and it is banned from our computer. I should be able to add songs to this thing wherever I am, and from any machine. So annoying. Finally, this little program installs easily, I had the songs copied in seconds. I also copied it to the ipod so it can be used on any other machine; provided I also tote the proprietary usb.
Sync is not important to me. In fact, it totally wiped the ipod when I had no choice but to use another machine to get a song. Said song added, all else wiped clean. Thank you Itunes. -

Pros
Easy install and easy use--just had to select all the songs and click copy from iPod to Computer. Did over 3700 songs in a few minutes. Then, I just copied my purchased iTunes songs in a separate step (was worried at first that they were gone but it is a separate step for a new computer--had to register the new computer with iTunes). No messing around with changing directories or anything like that. I was a little scared from a few of the reviews but since CNET recommended and the large majority of reviews were great, I used the software and am very happy! I have a brand new, HP computer with Windows 7--Sharepod has an update as recent as March 2012. Thanks, Sharepod!
