"second best of this style i've played."
Version: ShadowFlare: Episode One 1.0
Pros
i like to make up the attributes of my own characters and this one can be a girl. like me.\
a little hard which is good but like i said i really haven't played to many like this. i don;t care for the realness of the battle ie blood.`Cons
a little bloody for me but i do really like tjis one. i usually play more anime types because of the lack of blood but i am enjoying this one. really good for freeware.,

"Great game"
Version: ShadowFlare: Episode One 1.0
Pros
Easy to learn and still looking good after all these years. Sure it looks like a throw back to Diablo, but it's still a fun game. Lots of weapons and eventually you'll get tons of money too.
Cons
you have to pay for additional episodes for $15 a pop (3 more) to go on. Luckily you can find them online.
Summary
More Cons: Transferring money (10k) or buying multiple tablets (health) is one at a time and a real pain. Very time consuming after a while. Demons respawn after you exit the game. Some lvls are impossibly hard like the later lvls of the tower. 3 dragons? Some character classes may be stronger later than others. I enjoyed being a warrior for a while but you get too drilled in the later episodes if you get close to anyone (maybe it gets better later??). No way to pick your class except by the weapons you use most. If you use a slingshot a lot, you magically become a ranger!

"Great style and storyline."
Version: ShadowFlare: Episode One 1.0
Pros
Have played this game since I discovered the demo on a CD. It is challenging enough to replay, has three different classes so it can play very differently. It is very similar to Diablo and Diablo II. It is addicting, I bought all 4 episodes.
Cons
It is very addicting. It doesn't have all the cutting edge graphics of the new games, but it is light on hardware requirements. I wound up having to buy all 4 episodes.
Summary
Gameplay is good, using mouse and keyboard. I like that it does not require arrow keys for movement, mouse control is much more precise. There is a good balance of fighting and problem soving. There are also a number of side quests that are not required but extend the pleasure. Each level starts difficult and eases as you level, so you might want to perform some of the side quests for the extra HP not to mention gold and gifts for solving quests. This game has outlasted 5 computers and 3 operating systems. At one time, my wife and both my sons were playing it.Customer support is excellent in my experience. I lost my installation code in a computer crash and after verifying me, they sent it to me ( I now save it someplace besides my compputer!). They were very courteous and responsive.

"Awesome weapons, cool graphics, sweet story"
Version: ShadowFlare: Episode One 1.0
Pros
graphics are great for a windows 95 compatible game. the story line is kinda random you just go around taking orders from the civilians. The weapons are cool looking and pretty powerful when you find your favorite. I just LOVE the color changing guy
Cons
Constant clicking could be minimized and the demons could be easier, when your completely surrounded by them you can't get away. But all in all its a sweet challenge.
Summary
My favorite thing in the whole game is the guy in the second town that changes the color of your suit, weapon, and shield.
my least favorite would be. . .WHERE DO YOU FIND THE SECOND ONE!!!! -
"Great game for playing lan with 4 people"
Version: ShadowFlare: Episode One 1.0
Pros
It's a very simple multiplayer diablo 1 like game, which is played best as multiplayer with other friends. Its attacking motions and fighting are very good.
Cons
The Cons are mainly that it's very monotone, so playing alone's not a good choice. I actually don't reacommend at all to play this game alone, cause you'll get bored within about five minutes, since there's nothing to do.
