"A vastly underrated program"

Pros
The original desktop gadget software. You can make information meters, clocks, anything you want, and make it look how you want. Incredibly easy to use, and will make you look like a computing pro
Cons
The only bad thing is that the website hasn't been updated for a while for support etc. But that's because this program was never as popular as it deserved to be.
Summary
I used to use this years ago, but forgot the name of the program. It's taken weeks of searching for me to find it again and I am so glad I did.
However, it does not work on Windows 7 which makes me want to cry. It's almost worth downgrading for. But not to Vista

"Great tool for creating meters and displays of info!"

Pros
How the completed meters appear are only limited by the user's creativity. Also, a person can create meters displaying hundreds of different types of data, such as: email, memory use, page file use, CPU use, GPU temperature, and the list goes on...
Cons
Some meters require some basic math skills, good way to learn, go for it! Knowledge of how to work with images and apps such as MS Paint, MS Picture Manager will be very handy for your creation's visual appearance, but not necessary.
Summary
This is definitely a great app. A person can see if they have email without having to open up their email client. A video gamer can see how much memory and page file is being used by employing the "peak" feature in the meters. A person can create meters displaying their network's condition and flow.
The Config Tool is very easy to use, once passed a minor learning curve. Being able to set different colors for backgrounds in the Config Tool made it easy to see the work in progress. Also being able to set a background image in the Config Tool itself was/is extremely helpful for lining up of meters and images.
I'll admit it, my first meters/gauges looked like trash, garbage, disgusting to look at. I felt sorry for those pathetic looking whatevers, so I started to dress them up nice, made them worth showing off. Over time it just keeps getting better! -

Fun, useful software. Great for die-hards and people looking to improve the functionality of their desktop.Easy install.Works well alongside WindowBlinds,Yod'm 3D,didn't drag on CPU or memory,didn't interfere with any other programs.Oh,and it's FREE!
Cons
You cant knock freeware gems like this one.But I can say it would be helpful to have the wallpaper in the edit screen instead of the grey grid.Also could be more intuitive,but if you're worried about this level of desktop customization ur not a noob.
