"Hmmm...if you want a chuckle check out the good reviews"
Version: SensiGuard 3.4
Pros ? It's funny to look at the only good reviews left for this. And then look at the other products they have reviewed. Which are, surprise, surprise, all from the same malware installing Webminds. If you don't believe me go look for yourselves. Please do not install anything from Webminds. By the time this review has been on here for 24 hours they will have changed their name again. Until Download.com do a thorough investigation, at which point they will be removed entirely.
This software is, in fact, Malware. I've spent the best part of 2 days tracking down the elaborate web of fake sites and reviews. If you install this you will end up formatting. I'm an A+ comptia IT professional and I know how to spot malware when it installs a file with a *.LIE extension in my System32. What the hell is a .LIE extension ? They have such an elaborate tissue of fake sites that they have even convinced Download.com. to believe. But look closer. In the meantime, until they are eradicated PLEASE don't put this on your pc. Try Googling Cheesesoft.com or Qiwang Computer. TBH they have such a web of lies but when you go deep enough it all ties up.
The site and software that it links to is actually part of a laughably elaborate set of web pages with meaningless awards and it's got the same name, with a hyphen or two added, as real software. It's very, very bad malware. Shocked they even have it on Download.com and I have reported them. They run this network of malware under the group name Webminds.com CheeseSoft or QiWang Computer and they are in China according to Whois. Here's a link to someone else who found out what he was up to. http://blog.emsisoft.com/tag/qiwang-computer/. Oh and Wilderssecurity are on to him http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=225435
What legit software installs something like this in your windows directory and what the balls is a .LIE file ;-) http://i.imgur.com/TcHeuRm.jpg
Hope that saves some members from a messy computer.
