Version: Selkie Rescue 3.5.1
"Selkie worked; another program I purchased did not"
Pros: My computer crashed hard, couldn't be booted up in safe mode, and couldn't be repaired by my Windows install discs. I would have done almost anything to get access to the data on this broken machine- this Selkie program gave me access to ALL of it.
Cons: No cons- this program delivered, period.
Summary: I wanted my data and I needed my data. I am not a techie and yet I wanted my data so much that I was PREPARED to take apart my computer, remove a 160 gigabyte hard drive, void my netbook's warranty, and send the hard drive to a data retrieval professional. First I tried software solutions- I purchased a program called Spotmau Powersuite 2009. My intention is not to disparage here but to be honest, and I hope that you will excuse me for being honest- but the Spotmau program I bought- which I bought to retrieve data- proved to be ABSOLUTELY useless- worse than useless, because it wasted hours of my time, and it didn't allow me to retrieve one single file. I then purchased Selkie Rescue. Selkie Rescue did what it was supposed to do. This program gave me ALL of my data back. THIS SELKIE PROGRAM WORKED. Thank you Selkie, for actually doing what you say you are going to do.
