Publisher's description of Security Task Manager 1.6f
From A. & M. Neuber:Security Task Manager displays detailed information about all running processes (applications, DLLs, BHOs, and services). For each process, it improves on Windows Task Manager, providing file path, security risk rating, description, start time, CPU usage graph, embedded hidden functions (for example keyboard monitoring, autostart entry, and browser supervision or manipulation), and process type, such as visible window, systray program, DLL, and IE plug-in. The security risk rating indicates the likelihood of the process being potential spyware, malware, a Trojan, or keylogger. It also deletes traces of your Internet and computer activity, prevents keyboard input monitoring, and warns you when the registry is changed.

- "Keep an extra eye on threats"
- Version reviewed: Security Task Manager 1.6f
This handy utility enhances the functionality of Windows' Task Manager by warning you about potential system threats.
Upon launch, Security Task Manager automatically scans your PC to find all running programs. It then displays information about each application in a sortable list, including name, CPU usage, size, manufacturer, and risk factor. Highlighting each entry gives you more detailed data on running processes, including a description of what it does and how much of a threat it poses to your system. If Security Task Manager finds a potentially malevolent program, you can remove or quarantine it.
Especially handy is the feature that automatically searches Google for information about a specific program with a single click. Though it doesn't offer a wide range of features, this program will be useful to those looking for an extra layer of system protection.

Version: Security Task Manager 1.6f
"Kinda Exspensive For What It Does."
Pros: No task manager accurately identifies every process, including STM, but this product warns that a red line process is not nessesarily bad, but has the potential to be bad. I especially like the opinions of other users as well as the ease of googling processes yourself. Also gives you the choice to end the process or to prevent if from starting up again. Would have given it 5 stars if it were cheaper.
Cons: Probably not worth 29$ unless your really into file downloads (p2p) or other heavy internet use.

Version: Security Task Manager 1.6f
Pros: This has it all! You have all of your drivers, you have very detailed but not "Bombastic" information about what is running. I have tried so many programs and none have topped this baby. Although I will point out to my friends that a few of the free progies were awesome, Like "What's Running" is great and free. STM on countless occasions was the on;y software that picked up some sneaky snivling recource mooch. Comes with a Big time usefull spyware prevention, which an disable Keylogs etc There are also some very uniquw and mostly free software that you may choose to try. I can go on and on. Task Managers?? You have entered Nirvana *BREATHE*
Cons: No cons but...Emails were and continue to be promptly answered with some laid back humor BY Mr. Nueber Himself. I would like to say, if maybe Gramps Built this software, let me buy that man a Schlitz

Version: Security Task Manager 1.6f
Pros: shows you exactly whats running hidden processes too. gives you a description and security rating and lets you google it t see user reviews of the process whether to keep it or not. lets you quarintine useless or bad procceses for good.
Cons: it has high ratings for some things that are perfectly safe. dont get rid or it just because its a high rating. google it or look it up somewhere else.

Version: Security Task Manager 1.6f
Pros: Tells the users what processes are running and what, where and how they got there. MS??s Task Manager is informative but Security Task Manager gives the user more info in order to find what is loaded on a system at start up. Helps fine the BAD GUYS.
