"Wonderful comprehensive all-in-one brower with email."
Version: SeaMonkey 2.1
Pros
It does everything, is all.
Cons
none, nada, zippo! However I am using 2.0.11, have not seen 2.1 other than the beta which did not work on my system.
Summary
I have used this for years and still think it is superior to Safari and Firefox.

"Correction: only works in OS X 10.5 and 10.6"
Version: SeaMonkey 2.1b1
Pros
Cannot review, since I run OS X 10.4. CNET has given wrong system requirements. See the SeaMonkey (Mozilla) website.
Cons
Cannot review, since I run OS X 10.4. CNET has given wrong system requirements.
See the SeaMonkey (Mozilla) website.Summary
SeaMonkey 2.0 is excellent (apart from being a little choosy when it comes to websites with coding errors). As far as 2.1 is concerned, I cannot review it, since I run OS X 10.4 and not 10.5 or 10.6. CNET has given wrong system requirements. See the SeaMonkey (Mozilla) website.

(Installation note only)

After using the Firefox application's automatic update, SeaMonkey consistently crashed upon startup. Re-installing SeaMonkey fixed the problem.

"Simple uncluttered web browser"

"passwords"
Version: SeaMonkey 2.0b1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Once I enter the master password on a secure website to fill automatically the username and password on the form, these are not filled in as in Seamonkey 1.1.17.
I imported everything to the new version, but this doesn't work. Also the home button in the menu bar is not present.
Before switching to this version, I would like it to respect every settings I had before. -
"Old Netscape with a cute name"
Version: SeaMonkey 1.1.15
Pros
Pages build almost instantly; I tried eBay, Apple, W'Post & MSN simultaneously and all came up instantly. If you used Netscape then you'll feel right at home, the Mail interface is efficient too. Has Tabs too which is essential. Also has Addons.
Cons
Importing bookmarks seems problematic. I haven't found out how to do that yet and that's a deal breaker right there if I can't import them. It doesn't have an AddOn like Foxmarks either so I can't get my bookmarks that way.
Summary
Using SeaMonkey takes me back a few years as mentioned above to the old Netscape days. It's super fast and if you have a dial-up service or you're on the move I think it would be invaluable. I can't see myself using it on my Mac at home though - no point since speed and simplicity isn't an issue and I'm very happy with Firefox, but all in all, I'll certainly be keeping this on my faithful old iBook for those days when I'm sitting in the car musing.
That could change if I can sort out the bookmark thing though.
