"Really solid, good play"
Version: Scenario Poker 2.5
Summary

This new version has a much improved intelligence engine; I used to be able to beat the old one because they never bluffed. The widget format is is very conveinient. I have not paid the shareware fee, and there is lots of play in the setup as freeware. Only hold'em, AFAIK so far.
Overall, the best 'free' poker game I've found -
"excellent holdem widget"

I play this all the time. It's a decent approximation of playing live. I love the ease of playing it though- just hit F12 and I'm in. Probably my favorite widget of all.
At a full table, odds seem to take priority. Later in the game when only a few players remain, everyone bluffs like mad, which can be annoying. I wish I could use the keyboard to check, but I don't think that's possible with a widget. If you want to play with real peeps (real or fake $), then download the fulltiltpoker.com mac app. -
"poker? I hardly even know her."
Version: Scenario Poker 1.2
Summary

It's a nicely implemented widget, and the price is right, but this is far from a realistic simulation. I've never seen a real-life poker tournament where nearly every hand has 9 or 10 players in the pot, and where almost nobody folds to a raise. There's no use trying to bluff in this game, or even to raise, since everyone at the table will call you more often than not. Then your aces will lose to someone holding a 7-2 offsuit who catches a third deuce on the river.
EDITED TO ADD: I've played some online poker since using this widget for the first time, and although I contend that no real tournament will have 9 players showing down a hand, this widget does simulate rather well the environment in free or low-limit online games, where nobody's really concerned about losing money. I've upgraded my rating accordingly, from 3 stars to 4.
