"Saves a boatload of time!"

Pros
Saves a boatload of time. Very simple to use.
Cons
Not always the best at finding the edge of the photos. I have to adjust most of them.
Lack of finer tweaks such as resolution, etc. Then again, simple isn't always so badSummary

* Extremely easy to use - not a lot of reading necessary, 5 min & go
* Works perfectly - auto-cropping, everything works marvelously
* Beats the heck out of scanning 1 at a time and manually cropping!Cons
* Can't adjust jpeg compression settings, but definitely learning to accept that, may even like the whole TIFF thing better. What I mean is, I've always done jpeg, especially since "the old days" when storage space was so expensive and connections were so slow. EG: this software will scan tiff, jpeg, or both simultaneously, and at 600 dpi, a 4x6 pic is around 10 mb in tiff, 560k in jpeg. I did both on my first couple of scans and compared each, found effectively no difference. Still on the fence which way want to go, but at least have 'that' option.
Summary
Stop scanning 1 pic at a time and buy it!

auto mode works as advertised and the manual mode is just plain easy if the photos are too close to each other. the easy to use labeling of the photos is cool. And the capture in tiff and Jpg simultaneously is nice feature.
Cons
the manual resizing on the cropping frame is hard to grab the corner handles to adjust the frame size.

Wish I could adjust the jpg settings.
