  "Had problems with basic functionality"

  Pros: The appearance is pleasing.

  Cons: [1] Every action you do with the trial version throws up a message. Hey, the 7-day trial limit is bad enough--do you have to be annoying!?

  [2] Apparently the backup feature is not available in the trial, although it doesn't tell you that.

  [3] The small "Drop files here" always-on-top window is not bad, except that you can't hide it when, for example, you want to do something else for a while. It's a matter of a simple context menu item! HELLO, are you home!? And then when you try to drag it out of the way it makes a copy of itself again and again and again...

  [4] The taskbar gets cluttered up with task items. Currently I count 6, and I'm not even doing anything yet! (It's all the "Drop files here" windows.

  [5] They use the old WinHelp! Come on, this isn't the 90's anymore.

  [6] I set up a basic data burn (36 MB). It fails 5 seconds into it with "Error: writer error [medium error (power calibration area error)]. Not sure what that means. Then I ejected/reinserted same CD. Seemed to burn OK (went though all the motions--progress bar,etc), but now I can't explore the CD or even get control of it since the burning took place. Wait--there, it just ejected (that took about 90 seconds or more). [Reinserted CD] Now I can't get a file list--it appears empty. Tried it again on same CD--same results (appeared OK but nothing burned) Tried it with Microsofts default CD writing software with that CD--told me the CD couldn't be written to. Tried it with a new CD using Microsoft--burned fine. Go Microsoft.

  "Crashed Windows"

  Pros: None.

  Cons: Installed and ran in attempt to burn .iso image to CDROM. When "Burn" button pushed, got a flash of a "Blue Screen of Death" and then my computer re-booted.
