Very easy to use
Cons
1- 30 days you can't edit anything unless you pay. 2- Volumes given next available letter in the Drive sequence, conflicts with unplugged backup which has that letter allotted. 3- Volumes won't delete unless uninstalled. 4- Didn't uninstall fully
Summary
Finally uninstalled after searching :C. Not going back.

"Works fine - might be misunderstood by new users."
Version: SafeHouse Explorer 3.01
Pros
Does exactly what it says it does, and nothing more.
Cons
A note could be added to explain to new users that they need to include the file extension if they rename a file.
Summary
Many programs automatically keep the file extension when re-naming a file. With this tool, just remember to include the file extension in the new name. thisfile.jpg would become thatfile.jpg. ... anotherfile.xls would become yetanotherfile.xls. Remember to include the SAME file extension, as this tool doesn't change the file type.

This will keep files from your friends and enemies, but not from a real hacker. 256 bit encryption alone is crackable. If you're using this to conceal illegal activity, keep using it comrade. -

"No Way To Screw This Up"
Version: SafeHouse Explorer 3.01
Pros
One of the best free programs I've ever gotten. Does what it is says and does it well.
Cons
Nothing it works like a charm.
Summary
With all due respect to the above poster/reviewer I just for the life of me cannot figure out how he could mess this product up. Its probably one of the simplest programs of its type around. It walks you through every step needed. I've renamed files countless times inside the "container" without fuss of any kind. If you want/need a excellent , safe way to privately store your files .... this is it! As a bonus.... its FREE! Highly recommended.

"Outstanding Job! This is the Gold Standard of Freeware."
Version: SafeHouse Explorer 3.01
Pros
Works as stated, no hidden restrictions, use counters, it is actually free and as professional as any software I have used. It is fast, easy to install, easy to use, and that you can use it without installing it makes it very handy.
Cons
None that I have found.
Summary
The interface is clean and easy to just fire up and use, but they also supply no shortage of quick start tips, had it running in minutes. I have created encryped files over the LAN, WAN, to a USB Flash drive, USB disk, and my internal drives.
You don't have to install anything to use it, everything you need to encrypt or access an encrypted file set is in one exe, you can install performance software and it runs faster, but it is not required making it idea for use on others computers, or to pass to someone with a password and it is all they need to use. That it is very simple to use makes this even more usable. So nice to see a vendor really live up to real freeware without a nag screen, crippleware, or just junk. This is as good as it gets. -
"Renaming a Folder Deleted the Folder"
Version: SafeHouse Explorer 3.01
Pros
It does provide a quick and easy way to create encrypted archives. But read on...
Cons
Says the interface is just like Windows, HOWEVER: Tried to rename a folder and it deleted the folder. Clicked the folder name once to make it editable, pressed the Delete key, and instead of deleting the name it deleted the folder! Horrible!
Summary
Getting something this basic WRONG is just ridiculous. Those files are gone because their interface FAILED to reproduce basic functionality. Be very careful if you do use this product.
